Who is Liana Cilliers?

I studied Tourism Management in South Africa as I dreamt of travelling the world and experiencing different cultures, food, music and making unforgettable memories. I have five years’ experience working as a General Manager in a couple of 4-Star guesthouses in Pretoria, which exposed me to international and local guests, where being organized was one of the most important things to be and off course customer service. I moved to Doha, Qatar, taking on the Airline industry furthering my expertise in customer experience. During my seven years I had extensive exposure to a multi-cultural international company ensuring perfection when it comes to customer service to our internal and external customers. From being part as a team, to later on leading and coaching my own team. It’s then when I realized I want to make a difference in the world, change someone’s life and joined the Getting Competent/Indeson GmbH where I started as an intern, learning how projects work, from developing Occupational Standards, Occupational Profiles, Curriculums, to drafting and developing Teaching Materials. Currently I am the project coordinator as well as a content developer for various projects, but the biggest one for me being in Nigeria. It’s been one great roller coaster of a ride, and excited to see what the future holds for us as a company.

  • Capacity building of nationals in various countries (Malawi, Liberia, British Virgin Islands, Kosovo)  in the development of demand-driven (industry-led) occupational profiles, occupational standards, curricula, teaching and learning materials, assessments and related implementation of competency-based programs.

Drafting and development of Occupational Profiles in the construction trade – Plumbing, Carpentry and Masonry for Levels 1, 2 and 3.  Harmonizing Occupational Standards to the Occupational standards, drafting of Curriculums for all three trades and all levels according to the validated Occupational Profiles.
