My name is Maria-Rosa D’Amico and I am a curriculum developer at Getting Competent Africa and Middle East, where I develop learning material, control the company’s finances, edits and proofread any written material as well as lead any work in accordance to being secretary of the company.
Within the company, I have been working on various projects under UNESCO, Cadena, GIZ, GSDI, UNIDO and many other contractors globally. Together with Lawrence Pringle, I have worked in Ghana alongside GIZ and GSDI in developing learning material for the agriculture of Mangos, Cashews and Oil Palm with excellent feedback and approval from both contractors. I have also been given the opportunity to work with Lawrence Pringle in Mumbai and Hyderabad to develop teacher training material in retail.
I am passionate about education, as well as the development of education, psychology, literature, linguistics and film & media production. I have obtained a double major degree in Psychology and English at the North West University of Potchefstroom (South Africa), and have achieved 42 life skill certificates at Equilibria School of Life. Apart from working with ER24 paramedics, I have worked alongside many orphanages and old-age homes not only for community service but for the service stemmed from my own passion.
I see myself as a dedicated, well-rounded and adaptive person with extremely positive work ethic; motivated, helpful and trustworthy. I take on all challenges headstrong and promote inspiring attitude to form an enriched environment for the team.
