As a Policy and Legislation Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development of a comprehensive Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) framework in Myanmar and other countries in the region. This will include conducting research and analysis on current TVET policies and legislation, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and developing recommendations for new policies and legislation. You will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to government officials and other stakeholders on the implementation of the TVET framework and ensure alignment with international best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress of the TVET framework, providing regular reports and feedback to management, and engaging in capacity building initiatives for key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, economics, law, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in policy and legislation development, with experience in the field of education or vocational training preferred
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Strong intercultural and social competence and team-working abilities
- Strong conceptual and methodological skills in the Myanmar and regional context
- Experience working with government agencies and other stakeholders
- Fluent in English
