Faruque Ahmed Haolader

Faruque is an Associate Professor at the Department of Technical and Vocational Education of Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in Dhaka. He has a doctoral degree in Technical and Vocational Education from Stuttgart University, Germany, a master’s degree in Vocational and Adult Education for International Development Work from Dresden University of Technology, Germany, and a master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics and Information Technology) from Birmingham University, England, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Bangladesh. Dr Haolader has more than 30 years of professional experience in engineering technology, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as a teacher, teacher trainer/facilitator, consultant, manager, and researcher in Bangladesh, the UK and Germany. His industrial and research experiences include working as Engineer (Design & Development), as Research Fellow at Fraunhofer-Institute in Germany. He also worked as IT Professional (Computer Programmer) at the Ministry of Planning, Govt. of Bangladesh. For his outstanding academic/ professional work performances he was awarded UNESCO-Fellowship, German DAAD Scholarship, British ODA Scholarship and Bangladesh Govt. Scholarship. Dr Haolader attended several national/ international conferences/ seminars held in the USA, Europe, and Asia and presented his research papers and published numerous journal and conference articles and 2 text books.
